My Number 1 Cure for Ineffectiveness

“I’m sorry,”

That was my response last week, to a lady who not only put me on the spot, but also was expecting me to give away for free what I paid for.

I watched her expression change from friendly to shocked, it was tough knowing that she was probably forming all sorts of opinions about me, but I’ve done enough personal development work to not take it personally.

The truth is, I wasn’t always this way.

I took a step back some days ago, and I realised how ineffective I have been for the past weeks, my family, business, spiritual and personal lives all suffered; as a result of my saying yes to some things.

Sad but very important, I started rescheduling some engagements, including ‘Making Time To Connect’ – Women in Retail’ event. It suddenly dawned on me what Detola of Superworkingmum normally say, “if you don’t take care of self, you cant take care of no one”

So what did the magic?

1.   I had to block out some time to reassess my priorities, God, self, family, business, and social.

2.  And reassured myself that:

I believe that while saying yes to some opportunities may have a powerful impact on your career, your reputation, your professional growth,  but saying no  especially when it’s uncomfortable to do so is one of the most powerful steps you can take in your personal growth.

How have you dealt with your ineffectiveness?

Thanks for sharing this!
