3 Questions To Ask Before Choosing Your Network or Team

The old adage “People are your most important asset” turns out to be wrong.

When it comes to living our deepest purpose, our associations represent a place where the rubber really meets the road.  Almost every success book will tell you that if you want to be successful, hang around with like-minded, successful people.

There’s a theory that your current income is the average of the five closest people to you…

I believe this theory goes further than just income and can actually be applied to all areas of your life, including your relationships…

Your personal health…

Your social life…

Even your business!

Having exceptional people on your team doesn’t happen by accident. Its true that the greater your dream, the greater the people who will be attracted to you. But that alone isn’t enough. You need to know what to look for in order to find the best possible people. And you need to start by making sure they are compatible with you.

If you want to “upgrade” the results you’re currently getting, you’re going to need to look at what and who are influencing your business or life decisions!

So how do you know if a relationship is right for you or not?

Well, before you begin looking at the qualities that make a person right for you, you need to ask yourself a few questions about him or her.

1.Is he/she ready to go?” – that was a hard lesson for me to learn because early on, I wanted to take everybody at my own time. I’m success driven, and ambitious. I just assumed that everyone wanted what I did – to be successful and to strive to reach his potential. But that’s not true. Many people have no desire to grow whatsoever. Their goal is to find a comfortable place so that they can go on cruise control for the rest of their lives or perhaps they may not be ready yet. As a result, there is no compatibility.

2. “Is he/she able to go?” there has to be a match between your vision and the person’s gifts and talents.

3. “Do they have their own road map?” Whilst it’s important to support one another, of course you wouldn’t want people that will pull you back. You want to make friends with people, that though they may not be in the same industry or business with you, you may be able to help one another along the way as colleagues.

To be successful in your career or any life takes relentless commitment and determination… You have to embrace the attitudes, habits and behaviour that most people aren’t willing to…

What other questions do you ask before choosing your network, team or joining a group? Would love to hear.
